On the 22nd of April, the Microsoft Office Masterclass was held. It was facilitated by Wale Micaiah, an information systems professional with experience in the IT industry spanning nearly 2 decades. This event was organised by the social initiative, BTDT Hub.
The Masterclass was a hands-on practical class which involved every attendee getting busy on their computers. The sold-out class involved practical learning for the beginner in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power point, Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Automation, customisation, reporting, data tracking, modifying texts and objects were some of the areas which the facilitator delved into.
This Masterclass was birthed from research which found that HR Managers of organisations are less likely to hire employees who are unable to make good use of the Microsoft Office packages.
Feedback from the individuals who attended was brilliant as those who had a background in Microsoft Office suite learnt how to manoeuvre through the different packages better whilst the real beginners were able to go home knowing how to use each package.
If you missed this one, do not be too alarmed. There will be upcoming events in the nearest future. Keep your eyes peeled by getting involved in the conversation. Follow the initiative on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter: @BTDTHub.
See you at the next one!
